Robin Spalding

Robin Spalding is a London based artist and curator.

He is currently producing artworks and exhibitions which use parafictional scenarios to explore mythological narratives.

His studio practice focuses on producing pseudo religious relics which try to subtly adapt our understanding of specific myths. These are often altered versions of well known relics, such as the Veil of Veronica and Melchior's gift to Christ.

His work has been informed by a sustained investigation into the social value of mythology. For him, the artist's role in contemporary society is to continue the tradition of myth telling.
